Not only do I share a birthday with the great Buddha, but today, we also share it with Easter. In all of my years, Easter has never fallen on my birthday, not since 1927, but it will happen again soon in 2012.
I had a great time with my family. They came and cooked while DD & I made my favorite mocha cake. Then we topped off the evening playing one of my favorite games, Cranium, and then penny poker.
DD gave me the only yarn related gift. She's been eyeing these Knit Lites for months, and not only gave me the softest yarn she could find, she was also smart enough to get the recommended needle size. The tips really are bright enough to knit in the dark, not that I'd want to, but if I had to, like on a long roadtrip, or to entertain a 10 year old for a while.
All other photos are on my Flickr page.
I don't have any of those needles yet, but just like you i was thinking "road trip". They'd be great for when it's dark and you as the "navigator" are falling asleep and really need to do something to stay awake and keep your driver awake. That's a great gift!
ReplyDeleteI've been enjoying reading your blog for the past few months and am happy to say that we have something in common.....I celebrated my birthday on Easter this year as well. Sounds like you had a great day!
