Invader Zim GIR Hat
$2 via Ravelry.com
I designed and knit this one for my DD, who is totally crazy about the GIR line of clothing at Hot Topic. As I was nearing completion, I couldn't stop laughing at my own creation. She won't wear it to school, in fear that her peers either might make fun of her or try to steal it, but she will wear it all day long at home, thank goodness!

Unbelievably cute, cute, cute!!
ReplyDeleteWhat an awesome hat! My daughter likes Invader Zim too. Now that she's a preteen, she's at that worrying about what her classmates/friends/same-age girl cousins think/like stage now too. I miss the days when she would still let me buy her dresses and ruffly socks (she hates anything frilly or too girly)!
ReplyDeleteThat is the most awesomeness thing I ever did see! My gf showed me this, and told me she wants to make me a GIR hat, and I love her all the more for it. If I was younger, I'd wear that to school; as is I doubt my bosses would like me to wear it at work. . .grr.
ReplyDeleteI love this my girls would love it...you are so talented...
ReplyDeleteThat is an amazing hat, and so true to the character! And your DD looks so cute & happy in it! Thanks for making it a free download, I can't wait to make one for me!! And I'm 37!!!

ReplyDeleteim a beginner at crochet and want to make this but am unable to download the pattern (comes out in gibberish >.<)
do you think you could offer and alternative download? or maybe just post it somewhere? id be very thankful ...if not, thanks anyway ^-^ i really love the hat
It shouldn't be gibberish, if you have Adobe Acrobat Reader, or a program that can read .pdf files, installed on your computer.
ReplyDeleteP.S. It's a knitted hat, not crochet.
