I happily opened my mail to find my new Sockapalooza socks. At first glance, these look like ordinary crew socks - except for the beautiful rich colors. Upon pulling them onto my feet, I found that they're much softer than the average sock, since they're made with Shepherd Sock by Lorna's Laces. They're knit a bit loosely, but fit me perfectly. I always thought tighter was better, but these socks have convinced me otherwise. They float, rather than hug my feet, and yet, they're as warm as can be.
As I walk away, you can see that these are far from being the average handknit-with-wonderful-yarn socks. I practically fainted when I first saw this pretty lace pattern. Now I have to find myself some clogs that will show the world my amazing Sock Pal's talents.
Take a closer look. Don't they just absolutely take your breath away? Thank you Keri for my beautiful new socks! I will forever cherish these works of art.
The socks I'm making are way late now, but I've sent my Pal a little gift to make up for the delay. These socks will be well worth the wait. I'm very close to the toes now, then I have to knit the peasant heel, so I should have them done by the weekend. I hope she will except my apology, so the bad karma won't haunt me on the next exchange.
I am so happy you got your socks and love them! I was a little worried about the fit because I'd been warned that pattern could be a little loose in the ankle. They look great on you! Yeah!
