Last Sunday, with a tape measure, graph paper, pens, and a calculator, I came up with a tank top pattern by measuring my own curves. I spent half a day knitting and sewing via my Bond machine. Then I slipped it on while squealing in delight because it's almost perfect, except a bit too cropped for my tiny beer belly, and the seams are too tight to block it longer. After this hectic week, I'll revise and knit up a different color.
Never before have I see a photo of my bare back. Let me tell you, I wasn't happy when I realized I had back fat! I had to arch my back just so to stretch the fat evenly across my back. I used to be a skinny little thing, and since gaining 20 pounds these past few years, I like that my girls are bigger and my butt is more J-Lo, the back fat has got to go!
Back Fat? Whateva. you have a figure most women would kill for. You look the same size that you were in HS.
ReplyDeleteyou ain't even fat!! you are so cute! and your tank is adorable! great job!
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness! I just had to laugh because you sound like me complaining about myself when everyone says there's nothing wrong with my figure. But you know how us girls are. I thought I was the only one that used the term "back fat". Good to know I'm not. LOL
ReplyDeleteYou did an excellent job considering that you drafted this pattern yourself. I need another Bond machine. How fun! You go girl!
