Get Tanked!

click to enlargeLast Sunday, with a tape measure, graph paper, pens, and a calculator, I came up with a tank top pattern by measuring my own curves. I spent half a day knitting and sewing via my Bond machine. Then I slipped it on while squealing in delight because it's almost perfect, except a bit too cropped for my tiny beer belly, and the seams are too tight to block it longer. After this hectic week, I'll revise and knit up a different color.

click to enlargeNever before have I see a photo of my bare back. Let me tell you, I wasn't happy when I realized I had back fat! I had to arch my back just so to stretch the fat evenly across my back. I used to be a skinny little thing, and since gaining 20 pounds these past few years, I like that my girls are bigger and my butt is more J-Lo, the back fat has got to go!

  3. Oh my goodness! I just had to laugh because you sound like me complaining about myself when everyone says there's nothing wrong with my figure. But you know how us girls are. I thought I was the only one that used the term "back fat". Good to know I'm not. LOL
You did an excellent job considering that you drafted this pattern yourself. I need another Bond machine. How fun! You go girl!
